Look out for Minnesota rapper Brother Ali at Foufounes Electriques this Wednesday. Ali's been involved in the underground hip hop scene since 1990, but he released his first major CD, Shadows on the Sun, in 2003. Though he only began releasing albums in 2000, Ali says he's participated in hip hop culture since the age of seven, both as a rapper and as a graffiti artist.
