Q: Describe your typical day.
A: A day actually feels more like a week to me. I have to deal with the new athletics website (www.athletics.mcgill.ca) now, so I spend a couple hours a day updating that. I get about 70 to 80 e-mails a day, in addition to three dozen phone calls, so I spend a lot of time responding to requests. If I get through that, then I put together rosters for 50 varsity teams, update profiles for 850 varsity athletes and send out press releases about McGill teams, athletes and coaches.

Q: Does it bother you that sports aren't a particularly popular pastime on campus?
A: It bothers me constantly. It seems the only time campus really wakes up is when we're going to a national championship. It's hard for me to understand why there isn't more interest, but there's so much to do in Montreal that students often overlook the entertainment they have in front of them.

Q: You've been doing this job for 25 years now. What's one thing that happened in that time that you would change if you could?
A: I'd undo the 1994 baseball strike. That was the beginning of the end for the Expos.
